# Disbursements access token

Same request shape and **same merchant API key + secret** as the collections token endpoint; scope is **disbursements**. Use only for `POST /v1/disburse` and disbursement status GET.

## Headers

```http
Content-Type: application/json
```

Token body fields: [Field reference](https://docs.swarmbyte.com/field-reference.md) → OAuth token.

## Body

```json
{
  "grant_type": "client_credentials",
  "client_id": "<merchant_api_key>",
  "client_secret": "<merchant_api_secret>"
}
```

Validation rules and HTTP status codes match the collections token route; only the URL path differs (`/v1/oauth/disbursements/token`).

## HTTP status codes (API reference)

Same status codes and error messages as [Token (collections)](https://docs.swarmbyte.com/oauth-collections-token.md).

## Example request

```bash
curl -sS -X POST 'https://core.swarmbyte.com/v1/oauth/disbursements/token' \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{
    "grant_type": "client_credentials",
    "client_id": "YOUR_API_KEY",
    "client_secret": "YOUR_API_SECRET"
  }'
```

## Example response (200)

```json
{
  "access_token": "<opaque_token>",
  "token_type": "bearer",
  "expires_in": 180
}
```
